Our journey starts in the Gento region, where our main character dreams of becoming a "Guardian Trainer." We meet our childhood friend and rival, Kevin, and after choosing a classic Kanto starter, we set off to join the prestigious trainer academy. But our trip is immediately thrown into chaos! The train is ambushed by the sinister Dark Organization, and we're forced to find another way. At the harbour, we meet a mysterious man who looks just like Steven Stone, who warns us to stay away. After battling him on the route and taking on our very first Gym Challenger to earn a badge, we finally make it back to the ship. There, we meet another familiar face who looks just like Blue/Gary before we finally set sail for the academy!
