Description
It is a FireRed ROM hack that reimagines the Kanto journey with a primary focus on a beautiful, refreshing audiovisual experience. This isn't just another difficulty hack; it's a complete visual and musical overhaul, featuring vibrant new graphics inspired by the DS and Game Boy, and a brand new, immersive soundtrack. But the experience isn't just skin-deep. The game transforms Kanto into a true open world, allowing you to challenge gyms in any order and explore the Sevii Islands from the start, with all trainers and wild Pokémon scaling to your level. This hack is also packed with modern features, including a battle engine updated to Gen 8 with the Fairy Type and Physical/Special Split, tons of QoL improvements, and a major rebalancing that removes IVs/EVs/Natures to focus on pure strategy. For those who want to customize their journey, the game also includes optional Level Caps, a Doubles Mode, and a full Randomizer.
Features
- Complete Visual Overhaul: A brand new, vibrant aesthetic inspired by the DS and Game Boy, featuring new tilesets, overworld sprites, custom trainer sprites, and redesigned menus (BW, HGSS, and SWSH styles).
- Total Musical Revamp: A completely new soundtrack featuring the best songs from Gen 1-8, Mystery Dungeon, and other franchises, designed to give a refreshing vibe.
- True Open-World Kanto: Gyms can be challenged in any order, the Sevii Islands are accessible from the start, and HM badge requirements are removed.
- Level Scaling: All trainers, bosses (Gym Leaders, Rival, Giovanni), and wild Pokémon scale based on your party levels and badge count.
- Modern Gen 8 Battle Engine: Includes the Physical/Special Split, the Fairy Type, Battle Terrains, new move animations, and all moves, abilities, and items updated to Gen 8 standards.
- Major Rebalancing (No IVs/EVs/Natures): The game removes IVs, EVs, and Natures entirely to focus on strategy. Pokémon have rebalanced stats, new types (e.g., Fire/Dragon Charizard), and new abilities.
- Expanded Roster: Features 277 Pokémon (all Gen 1-2 Pokémon plus their later-generation evolutions), all obtainable before the Elite Four.
- Optional Gameplay Modes: You can toggle Level Caps, a full Doubles Mode, Inverse Battles, and the ability to catch Trainer Pokémon via an in-game menu.
- Built-in Randomizers: Includes optional, built-in randomizers for Pokémon Species, Abilities, and Learnsets.
- Massive Quality of Life (QoL) Items: You receive a Portable PC, Infinite Repel, and a "Candy Jar" (Infinite Rare Candies) from Professor Oak at the start.
- No HMs Required: Field moves (Cut, Surf, etc.) can be used without teaching the HM to a Pokémon.
- Infinite TMs: TMs have infinite uses, and HMs can be forgotten freely.
- Streamlined Evolutions: Trade, Friendship, and unique evolution methods have been replaced with simple Level Up or Item evolutions (e.g., Link Cable item).
- Movement Upgrades: Includes Auto-Run, a faster Bicycle, and the ability to Fly to almost any location from the start.
- Reimagined Difficulty: Improved AI, redesigned Boss teams, and a restriction preventing item usage during Boss battles.
- Modernized UI: Features detailed screens showing Base Stats in the Pokédex, IVs/EVs (removed in normal play but visible in UI), and move details.
- Weather & Terrain Rework: Weather and Terrain effects are permanent if triggered by an ability and provide specific stat buffs (e.g., Hail boosts Ice-type Defense by 50%).
- Simplified Breeding: All Pokémon can breed (except legends/babies), and eggs hatch extremely fast (within 256 steps).
- Wonder Trade: Accessible after obtaining 3 badges.
- Upgraded Marts: PokéMarts sell more items based on badge count, including evolution stones, hold items, and Ability Capsules.
- Increased Shiny Rate: The shiny rate is boosted to 1/2048.
- Obedience Fixed: All Pokémon will obey you regardless of their level.
- Safari Zone Update: The Safari Zone now features normal battles instead of the bait/rock mechanic.
