Description
Pokémon Amethyst is a collaborative fan game developed by the Relic Castle community. Players explore the Yurruc region, a prehistoric and primitive version of the Sinnoh region, during a time of conflict between neighboring lands. As a young student, you are swept into a deep storyline involving ancient lore and regional power struggles. The game features the innovative Amethyst type, where elemental relationships are dynamic and can shift during battle. With a custom tileset and a focus on world-building, it offers a unique take on the origins of the Pokémon world.
Features
- Two New Pokémon Types (Sound & Earth): The game introduces the new Sound type and replaces the Rock and Ground types with a single, combined Earth type, creating a brand new type chart.
- New "NRG Pokémon" Bosses: A unique boss battle system featuring "NRG Pokémon"-Enraged Energy Pokémon that are stronger, un-catchable versions of normal Pokémon, acting as a mix between Totem and Shadow Pokémon.
- Mega Evolution as the Core Gimmick: The game's primary battle mechanic is Mega Evolution, with 19 Megas currently in the demo and more planned, including those from Pokémon Legends: Z-A and repurposed Gigantamax forms.
- New Adano Region & Classic Story: Explore the brand new, music-themed Adano region on a traditional adventure to defeat 8 Gym Leaders, take on the "AMP League" (Elite Four), and stop the new evil "Mute Crew."
- Sinnoh-Inspired Atmosphere: The game is designed to channel the feeling and energy of the beloved Sinnoh region from Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
- Familiar Mini-games: The game includes classic features like the Mining Mini-game and Honey Trees for finding rare Pokémon.
- Following Pokémon: Your lead Pokémon will follow you in the overworld.
- Type Match-up UI: The effectiveness of your moves against the opponent's type is displayed in the battle UI.
- Multi Quest System: A system to help you keep track of your active side quests and main objectives.
- Built-in Game Modes: The game includes options for both a Nuzlocke mode and a Randomizer mode for increased replayability.
- Custom Badges: The game features custom-designed gym badges with their own unique sprites.
- A Demo Up to the 2nd Gym: The currently available version is a demo that is playable up until you defeat the second Gym Leader, offering 2-3 hours of gameplay.

Project Version: 0.1.3 - 08/01/2026 - This is a playable early demo. The main story in the Adano region is currently playable up to the 2nd Gym. The full game is still a work in progress with more content planned for 2026.
