Welcome to the Tarotia region, a province of the Kardia Empire. You're a young Trainer who recently graduated from the Jokerstown Pokémon School, and you and your friends are about to receive your first Pokémon with your Trainer License! The region has an ancient tradition: it's not just you who chooses your Pokémon, but the Pokémon must choose you too! The universe will intertwine your and your Pokémon's fate in your dreams! Any Pokémon can appear!
Features
- An Entirely New Region & Story: Explore the brand new, Gen 3-style Tarotia region. Experience a complete story of over 30 hours with a more mature narrative, a good dose of humor, original characters with portraits, and the mysterious new "Team Arcana."
- Unique Starter Selection: Your starter Pokémon is not chosen from a lab; it chooses you in a dream, meaning any Pokémon has the potential to be your first partner.
- New Custom Pokémon: Arcana & Tarotian Forms: Discover and catch mysterious new "Arcana Forms" (described as supernatural), classic "Tarotian" regional forms, and some completely original Pokémon.
- 18 Gyms & a Level 200 Cap: The game features a massive journey with 18 Gyms to conquer. The maximum Pokémon level has also been increased to 200 to accommodate the expanded adventure.
- Classic Mega Evolutions (with a G-Max Twist): The game includes the classic Mega Evolution battle mechanic. Some Pokémon that had Gigantamax forms in the official games now have them as brand new Mega Evolutions.
- Pokémon up to Generation 8: The game's Pokédex is expanded to include a selection of Pokémon from the first eight generations (up to Galar).
- Nuzlocke Mode & Randomizer: The game includes a built-in Nuzlocke Mode for hardcore challenges and a Randomizer to shake up your playthrough.
- Customizable Exp. Share: You can choose between using the classic, single-Pokémon hold item Exp. Share or the modern, party-wide version.
- No More HM Slaves: HM moves have been replaced with HM Items, so you no longer need to dedicate a moveslot on your Pokémon to progress.
- In-Game Banking System: The "Bank of Tarotia" allows you to deposit and manage your money.
- Berry Store & Pokémon Farm: Berries are no longer found in the wild but can be purchased from a dedicated Berry Store or grown at the new Pokémon Farm.
- Accessible Evolutions & Customization: Trade evolutions now use a "Trade Stone," and all other evolution items are for sale. You can also change your Pokémon's Nature at a shop and find Ability Capsules in secret locations.
- Triple Triad Game Corner: The Passione Game Corner has been transformed into a hub for playing the Triple Triad card game.
- Wonder Trading: Meet the "Trade Expert" who appears in various locations to make surprise Wonder Trades.
- Roaming Legendary Encounters: Legendary Pokémon are even harder to track down as they now roam the region.
