Pokémon Blue Reborn
Category: GBA
Author: MewBlack
Date: 2026-04-21
Description
Based on the 1st Generation Games using a Fire Red 1.1 base, this game features front sprites from Pokémon Yellow, Red, and Blue, as well as Lugia's sprite from the G/S/C series. It restores Moltres to Victory Road and allows Mewtwo to be captured after the League without needing to collect 60 Pokémon first.
Features
- Alternate Rocket Path : You can become a member of Team Rocket at the Nugget Bridge, featuring an improved Rocket coin system to manage services and maintain game difficulty.
- Rocket Silph AG Building : Once you join Team Rocket, Gym Leaders will not battle you until you purchase a "Fake ID" here; you can also buy/sell Pokémon and Rocket balls or use escort services.
- Rocket Coins : Obtained by defeating Rivals or Gym Leaders, these can be given to Giovanni (60 coins) to unlock new areas in the Silph AG building and the Celadon Hotel.
- Antagonist Leaf : The trainer Leaf is added as a special antagonist battle if the player chooses to join Team Rocket.
- Expanded Pokédex : All 386 Pokémon are capturable, plus around 60 Pokémon from the 4th Generation with original cries and 20 custom-made Pokémon found in a Hidden Map.
- Glitchworld : A dedicated area based on the Gen 1 glitch maps where players can encounter and obtain MISSINGNO.
- Form Changes : Giratina and Shaymin can change forms at their capture locations, while Deoxys forms can be changed at the Pewter City Museum.
- Expanded Islands : Islands 1-7 feature new big maps including Faraway Island, Navel Rock, Birth Island, Southern Island, Fullmoon Island, and Sinhoe Isle (which contains Sinnoh/Hoenn Pokémon and the Lake Trio).
- Stealing Missions : Four missions added to the Celadon Hideout that reward players with in-game trade Pokémon and Rocket coins.
- Mewtwo Creation Event : A special Rocket Path event in Saffron City that allows high-ranking Rockets to obtain Mewtwo (this replaces the Cerulean Cave encounter).
- Working Clone Machine : A Rocket Path feature in Celadon that allows players to clone Pokémon at Level 60 (gender and moves may vary).
- Shiny Charm Mechanic : Players can select between two Shiny Charms (1/20 or 1/120 rates) by reading the text in front of the player's room stairs, which also includes a one-time guaranteed shiny encounter option.
- Hidden World Plot Twist : A special map that holds a plot twist based on how the player has progressed through the game.
- Wild Starters and Rare Encounters : Squirtle, Eevee, Vulpix, and Chimchar have been added to various wild routes so all starters are obtainable.
- Visual Improvements : Sabrina's hair color is corrected to black, Sinnoh starter backsprites are aligned with the text box, and Pokedex entries correctly display normal sprites while using the charm.
