- No Stat or Type Changes : Pokémon retain their original statistics and typing for a traditional gameplay feel.
- Gen 9 Pokémon and Movesets : Includes carefully selected Pokémon and moves updated to Generation 9 standards.
- No Player Setup : Setup moves are not available for the player to use, increasing the tactical difficulty of every encounter.
- Permanent Field Effects : Terrain and Weather effects are permanent once activated and cannot be removed.
- Starter-Based Progression : Your initial starter choice enables different tools and strategies for your progression through the game.
- Diverse Leader Teams : Gym Leaders utilize off-type Pokémon to create more diverse and unpredictable teams.
- Berry Apricorn Trees : Apricorn trees have been modified to provide berries instead of apricorns.
- Streamlined Story : The Johto story is slightly altered and streamlined to provide a faster and more focused progression.
- Hard Level Caps : Optional hard level caps are included, though specifically placed candies allow for overleveling if desired.
- Built-in Easy Mode : Features a dedicated easy mode for players who prefer a more casual playthrough.
- Toggleable Repel : A quality-of-life improvement allowing players to easily toggle repel effects on or off.
- PokéCenter Services : Every Pokémon Center includes a Move Relearner, IV/Nature Setter, and a Status Setter.
- EVs Removed : Effort Values are removed to focus the gameplay experience on strategy rather than stat training.
