Pokémon Silver Blue

Description
It is a complete and modernized ROM hack that fulfills a long-awaited dream: playing the full Kanto story of FireRed and LeafGreen within the beautiful engine of HeartGold and SoulSilver! Originally a project from 2014 called "Silver Blue," this hack has been updated, fixed, and finished for 2025. You play as Red, starting your journey in Pallet Town with a Kanto starter, and take on the classic 8 Gym challenge. While the core story is streamlined, the experience is enhanced with tougher, more strategic trainer battles based on the FRLG teams, expanded wild encounters, and the inclusion of modern battle mechanics. With added boss fights against Giovanni and your Rival, Mega Evolution for the Kanto starters, and even a battle against Lucas from Platinum, this is the ultimate "demake" of the Kanto adventure.
Features
- A Full Kanto Adventure in the HGSS Engine: Play through the entire Kanto region, from Pallet Town to the Indigo Plateau, in a "demake" that recreates the FireRed and LeafGreen experience within the world of HeartGold and SoulSilver.
- Play as Red with a Kanto Starter: The game puts you in the shoes of the iconic protagonist, Red, and allows you to choose between Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.
- Mega Evolution for Kanto Starters: You can Mega Evolve your Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.
- Enhanced FRLG Trainer Battles: All major trainer battles, including Gym Leaders and bosses like Giovanni, use the same teams and level caps as FireRed and LeafGreen, but are enhanced with more diverse learnsets and strategies for a tougher challenge.
- Expanded Wild Encounters: Wild Pokémon spawns have been updated to be more faithful to the original FRLG locations, with some extra variety and Johto Pokémon added to each route.
- No More Trade Evolutions: All Pokémon that originally required trading to evolve now do so either by reaching level 36 or by leveling up while holding their required item.
- Secret & Legendary Encounters: The game features catchable legendary Pokémon including Mew, Deoxys, Jirachi, Suicune, and the Regi trio. You can also find and battle Blue on Mt. Silver and Lucas (from Platinum) on Victory Road.
- Gen 4 Features in Kanto: Key features from the Gen 4 games have been integrated into the Kanto region, including the Pokéathlon, the Battle Frontier, and the Move Reminder/Deleter, all in new, dedicated locations.
- EV Training Road: A dedicated "EV Training Road" has been added to make competitive training easier.
- Dual Starter System: To fix a bug from the original hack, you will receive a Johto starter at the very beginning of the game. You are then immediately warped to Oak's Lab to receive your actual Kanto starter for the main adventure.
- Streamlined Post-Game: The Elite Four has been replaced by the "Mt. Silver Road," a challenging series of battles that fixes a game-crashing bug from the original hack.
