Worked on over the course of more than half a decade, Star Beasts is a Gen 1 total conversion and homage to the first generation of Pokémon games. It features an entirely new Dex of Fakemon and a mostly new region (Relas) with a focus on exploration.
Features
- Completely overhauled soundtrack: Almost none of the music from the original games remains.
- Overhauled Pokedex: Complete with backsprites, this fixes balance issues, replaces older designs, and makes evolutionary families more consistent.
- Overhauled movesets: Features even more new moves to improve gameplay.
- New Types: The inclusion of the Fairy, Steel, and Dark types.
- New Region: A brand new region called Relas to explore.
- New Trainer types: Features trainers with different rosters and improved AI.
- Expanded Content: More dialogue and areas than the original games.
- Game Rebalancing: Made to be more accessible to newcomers, including plenty of NPCs that give hints on where to find rare Star Beasts and provided documentation on every Beast.
- Quality of Life improvements: Various improvements such as an experience bar, running shoes, and bug fixes.
- Vanilla+ Difficulty: Rebalanced to provide a fair but engaging challenge for players.
