Description
This story takes place 10 years after the events of Pokemon XYZ. As such, there may be new and/or familiar faces the player would encounter. Previously, Lysandre's plan to take over Lumiose City has been thwarted by major trainers such as Gym Leaders and two regional Champions. But while it seemed like the end of Team Flare, there was but one thing he still had, and it is just as bad as this attempted takeover.

- Lumiose City serves as a Sandbox Mode, offering access to most game features with some facilities moved to other towns or cities.
- Four out of five sidequests provide key items like Running Shoes, a Bicycle, and a Mega Ring to enhance the player's adventure.
- The adventure includes 18 badges, which are used to measure level caps instead of requiring participation in a Pokémon League.
- Persistent Weather and Inspecting Element mechanics have been added, allowing weather to revert to its original state and enabling players to view Pokémon stats during battles.
- Field effects from Rejuvenation V10.2 are included, along with a new field effect called Speed World, emphasizing speed-based battles.
- Opponents use Pokémon based on STABmons rules, allowing them to use moves of their type(s), including moves from previous evolutions.
- At least 15 gift Pokémon with optimized stats, natures, and moves are available to assist players throughout their adventure.
