Description
It is an enhancement hack of Pokémon Red and Blue built on the pokered disassembly. It aims to enrich the originals with improved gameplay balance, greater Pokémon accessibility, and carefully integrated additions that feel as though they were always meant to be there. Above all, it seeks to preserve the charm and spirit of these games.
Features
- Catch all 151 original Pokémon naturally, play as Red or Green, choose boy or girl, and revisit Kanto with new areas like Cinnabar Volcano, Saffron Academy, Celadon Grove, Mt. Moon Square, and Mandarin Island (accessible via Citrus Ferries).
- Expanded Postgame: quests tied to Elite 4 members, rematches, Gen 2 tie-ins, restored Prof. Oak battle, hidden adversary, and a proper Mew storyline quest.
- Gameplay tweaks: reworked moves and learnsets, Ghost is Special and Dragon is Physical, fixed Focus Energy/Dire Hit, updated type matchups, fixed badge boost & Leech Seed/Toxic bugs.
- Battles improved: Gym leaders and Elite 4 have smarter teams + rematches, rival has more variety, new trainers (some from the anime), and a new Battle Hall with random 3v3 battles.
- Encounters rebalanced: wild Pokémon more diverse and available earlier, rods given earlier with better fishing, Pokédex Area separates land/surf/fishing, NPC gives the fossil you didn't pick, and both Hitmonlee & Hitmonchan obtainable.
- New/updated locations: refurbished Pokécenters, new Celadon Mart floor (PP items), updated Power Plant mechanics/graphics, plus more dialogue and secrets woven into the story.
- Visual upgrades: updated maps/animations, unique Gym Leader sprites, new running/surfing player sprites, Super Game Boy palettes improved, trainer card shows correct names, and many bug fixes.
- Quality-of-life improvements: running with B, use field HMs with A (don't take move slots), all TMs buyable (unlock with badges), bigger Bag (30 slots + Key Item pocket), assign items to Select, repel prompt, faster coin buying, Exp.All toggle, B shortcut to Run in battles, exp bar + improved move info, Move Deleter/Reminder in Fuchsia, trade evos via NPCs, and a new SS Anne nurse room.
