The game overhauls the classic fourth-generation Sinnoh and Johto aesthetics by replacing every single Pokémon in the regional index with its respective "Moémon" counterpart—stylized, gijinka-style anime-girl versions. Unlike other overhauls that significantly alter story progression, Kurisu's work preserves the original Johto and Kanto campaign boundaries, focusing on providing a polished and vanilla-faithful experience.
