Pokémon Ash Gray is an incredibly popular GBA ROM hack of Pokémon FireRed that completely restructures the classic Kanto adventure to meticulously follow the plot, events, and script of the original Pokémon anime series. In this unofficial version 4.6 revamp developed by RevamperHacker, the game receives an extensive overhaul of stability improvements, typing/stat updates to match newer generations, and cleaner overworld visuals, while retaining metapod23's core design. Players step into the shoes of Ash Ketchum, starting with a stubborn Pikachu and following his journey through over 116 unique scripted anime episodes and movie events.

Completed v4.6 (Unofficial) - 22/01/2022 - Pokémon Ash Gray (Unofficial Version 4.6 by RevamperHacker) is a fully completed, highly polished revamp of metapod23's original FireRed ROM hack. This build implements numerous critical bug fixes, updates Pokémon stats up to Gen 7 (Sun/Moon), and delivers an extensive list of quality-of-life adjustments.

Step directly into the shoes of Ash Ketchum and play through over 116 unique events from the original anime and movies
Pokémon stats updated to match the Sun & Moon (Generation 7) standard with EVs properly capped at 252
Critical quality-of-life updates including easily deletable HM moves and eggs that hatch at Level 1
HMs completely replaced with inventory tools (Hatchet for Cut, Raft for Surf, Pickaxe for Rock Smash, Climb Kit for Rock Climb)
Corrected various script spelling errors and dialog typos alongside a complete removal of visual screen glitches
Expanded customizable default names for the player (Ash, Satoshi, Red, Yellow) and rival (Gary, Shigeru, Blue, Green)
Enhanced overworld aesthetics including fully colored badges, updated item sprites, and unique PC box wallpapers
Classic battles adjusted to have Ash face trainers directly before combat starts for more immersive anime-style encounters
Allows Pokémon to evolve normally without the restriction of obtaining the National Pokédex first
