Following the core Kanto narrative of the original game, the hack introduces significant twists, increased difficulty, and modern quality-of-life integrations. The game expands standard GBA capabilities by adding a massive Pokémon roster spanning Generations 1 through 7, featuring high-fidelity Nintendo DS styled sprites for all active species.
Completed Build 4 - 29/09/2022 - Pokémon Meta Fire Red X is a completed FireRed-based GBA ROM hack by PufferJumps. Originally launched around 2018 and finalized up to Build 4, the hack expands Kanto with modern battle parameters, Gen 1-7 rosters, and a custom post-game region.
